What is Prevent Zone?
This one hour, online workshop is designed to help you recognize, understand, and prevent hazing in your organizations and on campus. Hazing is a real problem resulting in long-lasting effects – both physically and psychologically. The Loyola Student Promise encompasses care for oneself, others, and one’s community. The Prevent Zone training is one way Loyola University Chicago is seeking to uphold this promise.

Where Do I Find Prevent Zone?
Follow the link (https://luc.prevent.zone/courses/) and click “Register” in the middle of the screen. Follow the steps and complete the training. Once completed, save a copy of the completion certificate. Once all officers have completed training, upload all certificates as one PDF document under the "Files" tab of the organization portal to LUCentral as "OrgName_PreventZone_Spring2019." If you are an officer in more than one organization, you only need to complete the training once. You can select up to four organizations in the PreventZone registration process.
If you completed PreventZone in Fall 2018, you do not have to complete it again in Spring 2019.
Who is Responsible for Completing Prevent Zone?
All executive board members of SSOs, RSOs, and SFL chapters are required to complete Prevent Zone. The deadline for Spring 2019 is February 1, 2019. The Student Activities and Greek Affairs office will be unable to process payment requests and other aspects of student organization privileges if the training is not completed by all executive board members by the deadline.
