Why do you enjoy working with professional degree students?
I am excited to see students have really thoughtful discussions over the materials as they progress through the course and they learn about something they may not have understood or considered prior to class. As an emergency management professional, seeing students go from having little or no knowledge and understanding the importance of taking preparedness seriously, to at the end of class where they have a full and comprehensive understanding and appreciation for the need to be prepared before they are impacted by a disaster is invigorating.
