About

A proven marketing and communications executive with over 25 years experience, Eddie has a deep background in global consumer marketing, advising some of the world’s biggest brands in areas including food & beverage, technology, sports and consumer packaged goods. 

He is the Executive Vice President, Head of Strategy and Planning at the integrated marketing agency, Current Global.  He also serves as an advisor with 18 Coffees, the strategy consulting firm focused on helping organizations transform and thrive in today’s mission-driven world.  Prior to that, he served as Executive Vice President, Head of Strategy for Weber Shandwick.  In this role, he was responsible for elevating insight-based approaches and holistic communications strategies across the agency’s portfolio of clients by leading a diverse group of strategic planners, data analysts and digital strategists.

Eddie also has the perspective of having worked at a global media and entertainment company. His years at Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. as Director of Corporate Communications and New Media were focused across the corporate, entertainment, news and sports divisions of Turner Broadcasting.  

He also sits on the board of trust for the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia and is the former chairman of the board of jurors for the Peabody Awards.  

Eddie holds a BSA and an MBA from the University of Georgia.
