Beta Rho chapter

Beta Rho is a chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association Honor Society.

Requirements

Membership is open to qualified undergraduates in any majors in the School of Communication as well as qualified graduate students.
 
Undergraduates need to have completed 45 total hours of undergraduate study and 12 hours of Communication courses, with at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA and 3.5 cumulative GPA in their major.
 
Graduate students need to have completed 12 hours of graduate courses in Communication and have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.

Beta Rho Mission

As the only active organization at Loyola University Chicago geared towards academically advanced communication majors, it stands as Beta Rho’s number one priority to recognize, foster and award those students who have pushed their talents and ability further than that which is required from them. Beta Rho also serves the Loyola community by stimulating interest in the communication field, promoting members’ ideas; establishing and maintaining closer relationships and mutual understanding between faculty and members of the organization.
 
Members receive a pin and certificate to signify lifetime membership in the national Lambda Pi Eta honor society, as well as honor cords to wear at graduation.
