SOWK 740: Religion, Spirituality, and Older Adults: Theory and Methods

Description

This is an advanced level course that considers the interrelationships of spirituality, religion, and aging. This course is intended to help students understand how religion and spirituality may be used as a primary coping resource and also a source of struggle. It considers practice contexts such as health and end-of-life care that typically include spiritual assessment and spiritual treatment planning. Integrative practice principles and ethical values are addressed.
