The degree broadens the concept of “public service”. In this context, the program places specific emphasis on leadership in public service through governmental, non-profit, and human service organizations. The degree allows you to move between the disparate but overlapping health/social sectors, rather than have expertise at only one. The knowledge, values and skills attained with this degree are adaptable to a variety of organizations – including public-private partnerships - that require leadership that is informed of multiple sectors.

You will benefit from the rich tradition of a transformative Jesuit Education in your formation as a person for others. The curriculum content and engagement with faculty and other course participants through assignments, discussion, and exercises will provide you with intellectual challenges and true dialogue that invites you to consider different ideas and realities in new and deeper ways. You will discern your unique and particular gifts and find ways to put that into the service of others.
