2017 IASWG Board Meeting in New York City
Board Members of the IASWG (International Association for Social Work with Groups) met in New York City this past November. -
Students are invited to apply for induction into Alpha Sigma Nu (AΣN), the national Jesuit honor society.

Loyola Faculty at the 40th International Association for Social Work with Groups (IASWG) Symposium
LUC School of Social Work faculty, current students and alum travelled to South Africa on June, 2018 to take part of the international event. Poster presentations, workshops and dinners were part of the agenda. The location was quite unique, the famous Kruger National Park. -

The Joint World Conference on Social Work, Education and Social Development 2018(SWSD)was held in Dublin, Ireland on July 4-7, 2018 at the Royal Dublin Society (RDS. Dr. Shirley Simon and Dr. Terri Kilbane presentation topic was on Status of Group Work Education in Masters-Level Social Work Education: Survey Findings and Implications. -

Marton, who is one of this year's President's Medallion recipients, is studying for his master’s degree in social work, serves as a graduate and research assistant for two professors, is the president of the School of Social Work Student Organization, and works several days a week as an intern at Loyola Community and Family Services. -
