Staff Member of the Year: David Pankratz, Modern Languages and Literatures.

Faculty member of the year: Anthony Cardoza, History department
David has been described as the heart and soul of the department. Notable comments about David: Anthony Cardoza was selected for this award, nominated by his peers, because he exemplifies the values of Loyola university - scholarship, leadership, and service. Striking a balance between these ideals as well serving as a role model to both faculty and staff is what is what set him stand out this year.
Kay Egan Award (Person for Others): David Gabrovich, Information Technology Services
Notable comments made about the David: "In all my interactions on a professional level with the awardee, has shown that he is always helpful, extremely courteous, and very professional. On a daily basis, even if what is being asked of him is not within the realm of his job responsibilities, he provides the utmost in customer service...He Goes the extra mile through collaboration and team work, And always he provides service in a friendly and pleasant manner."
Student Service Award (Person for Students): Robbie Jones, School of Education
Robbie has been described as “a real student advocate."
"She keeps the interests of the students she comes in contact with at the top of her priorities, and “provides many services that the students probably don’t realize, but are critical to their success.”
She demonstrates “a consistent level of enthusiasm and energy” and “has a genuine care for our teacher candidates because she KNOWS her students and their needs."
Rising Star Award: Michelle Lata, Office of Student Life
Students, staff, and faculty who work with Michelle recognized her professionalism, dedication, and ability to work with a variety of people. A student described her as a ”Great example of an Ignatian woman for others. She is the epitome of professionalism and class. . . Her amazing work ethic inspires everyone in the office to work harder and better."
Team Spirit Award: Desktop Services/Media Services/Research and Teaching services
