What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola?
The people; I have built wonderful relationships at Loyola and have been lucky to collaborate with many different departments. Both staff and faculty always have the best interest of the student in mind.

What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee?
Working with our Vietnam and Indonesian cohort of nursing students. This group of 10 students completed their MSN through a blended (online and face-to-face) program in the spring of 2014. A number of departments, faculty, and staff worked together to make this program happen. I was so proud to watch these students walk across the stage at Commencement. They are so grateful for their Loyola education and have gone home to do amazing work in their home countries.

What does Loyola's mission mean to you?
I always try to remember that behind every person is a story. If I have a challenging day it always helps to put the frustration into perspective.

What motivates you to succeed each and every day?
Our students. Over 90% of our graduate students in the School of Nursing work full-time. In addition to work many have young families, or as the nurse in the family, are caring for elderly parents. I am in awe at their ability to juggle work, life, and our program. They inspire me.

Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you.
I was on Family Feud twice with my family about 9 years ago. We lost our first visit and were invited back for a "lovable losers" tournament. Our episodes still air!
