What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola?
Every day is challenging, and I am able to work in a friendly environment with many great people. I also have a great supervision staff who help me achieve my goals.

What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee?
I was hired as a security officer and worked hard to become a police officer. Through the University, I was able to attend and graduate the Chicago Police Academy. I also received a positive letter from Father Garanzini regarding my job performance.

What does Loyola's mission mean to you?
The University provides opportunities for people of different backgrounds and makes higher education available to those who strive to make the world a better place.

What motivates you to succeed each and every day?
Campus Safety has developed a solid team environment, and I am motivated to be part of a mission to make the campus safer. I like to share my experiences with the students and be a positive influence to guide them in the right direction.

Tell us how you show your Rambler pride.
I always support the different clubs and athletic teams on campus, and I participated in the big celebration for the men's volleyball NCAA national championship.

Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you.
I am a refugee from Vietnam and escaped on a boat to Malaysia. I was sponsored by a church from Michigan to immigrate into the United States. I speak Vietnamese, and four different Chinese dialects. I have worked very hard to get where I am today with Loyola University Chicago, and appreciate all the opportunities.
