What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola?
My favorite thing is seeing the students grow from hesitant, and sometimes shy, freshmen to confident and mature seniors, some of whom achieve more in four years than other people in a lifetime. I love seeing them grow professionally and spiritually as they start their professional life with great passion and with the “I can change the world” attitude. It motivates me to do my job with the same commitment and excellence.

What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee?
Some years back I was given the responsibility to manage the Campus Reservations Department. With the help and support of some highly committed employees (Jennie Clemens and Maggie Aust) and ITS, I was able to reorganize a stressed department to a high-performing and efficient one that is committed to excellent customer service.

What does Loyola's mission mean to you?
To deepen your compassion to help other people.

What motivates you to succeed each and every day?
I am proud to support the Institute of Environmental Sustainability and its founding director, Dr. Nancy Tuchman, to succeed day after day in the mission of engaging students in understanding and responding to local and global environmental issues.

Tell us how you show your Rambler pride.
I like to get people excited about Loyola so they would choose to become a part of the Loyola community one day either by attending the University or coming to work here.

Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you.
I have been sponsoring underprivileged children through Children International ever since I have moved to the US 19 years ago. Currently, my family is sponsoring a 7-year-old girl in Mexico, and we hope to visit her and her family someday soon!
