Years at Loyola: 7 total (I returned in 2009 after working for Loyola from 1992-1994)

What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola?
I have two favorites—the people and the mission.

What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee?
I’ve worked as part of a really excellent high performing team for the last five years at the Family Business Center, and we’ve had a lot of successes. If I had to pick one thing it would be the positive achievement made in building community within our membership and understanding of our work within the larger Loyola/Quinlan Community of faculty and students.

What does Loyola's mission mean to you?
I love the idea of being part of a learning community working together and deploying their best talents in service to others. When I am at my bestand when we are at our bestwe are doing what is best and what is good.

What motivates you to succeed each and every day?
My version of daily success is about intention. I have a daily practice of prayer and meditation which I depend on to keep life in balance.

Tell us how you show your Rambler pride.
I have some logo wear (zip up jackets) that I wear to run errands or work outI can’t tell you how many times people ask me about the Family Business Center and Loyola when I’m out and about.

Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you.
I’m kind of an open book so I don’t think there’s anything too surprising!  Maybe the fact that I worked at Loyola as a fundraiser many moons ago? I was lucky enough then to work for a great manager in the Advancement office (Mike Bates) and for a great senior leader (Carolyn Farrell, BVM) on the Lake Shore Campus. Both were generous and excellent leaders who shared some great lessons on management and leadership at Loyola.
