What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola?
This may sound cliche but it's true, my favorite thing about working at Loyola is the people. In my ten-plus years here, I've never experienced any kind of corporate hierarchy. It is, we are, friends and family. From the guards to the maintenance staff, from the administration to the faculty, from the dean up to the president's office, I love 'em all. Such good people. We are, I am, so blessed.

What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee?
First, I'd be remiss not to say how much I appreciate this recognition by President Rooney. But of achievements during my tenure, I think I've been instrumental in bolstering morale at the School of Business. Together with my colleagues, we've instituted a "Back To School Get Together" in September for faculty and staff, bi-monthly social gatherings for faculty and staff, and quarterly lunches. As pedestrian as that might seem, I use that love and respect I have for my colleagues to break barriers and underscore community. Kindness goes a long way. It works.

What does Loyola's mission mean to you?
I take great pride in my Roman Catholic roots. I am a Eucharistic Minister at neighboring Holy Name Cathedral. My faith is my center, truly. To me, Jesuit Loyola takes the direction the priest gives at the end of Sunday Mass, "... and serve the Lord," and breathes real life into it. I think at its core, we teach and mold Catholic character. We turn faith into action. I've witnessed a few times now the student who arrives and the one that graduates. I've witnessed the change and that cannot be more inspiring.

What motivates you to succeed each and every day?
Again, the people. I love coming to work. I really do. They are my friends, my colleagues, and my extended family. They make each and every day a pleasure.

Tell us how you show your Rambler pride.
I surely brag about the University... A LOT! The completion of the Lake Shore Campus is a stunning achievement, just beautiful. The new building, the Schreiber Center at the Quinlan School of Business is absolutely gorgeous. And, of course, our enrollments are up! GO RAMBLERS!

Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you.
Maybe not surprised... I've been friends with the same group of nine Italian Catholic girls since third grade at Sacred Heart in Melrose Park. We get together once a month with a little pasta and wine, we toast to faith, friends, and family. That's pretty much everything... and it doesn't get any better.
