The staff at STO is comprised of both full-time university employees and part-time student workers. We work together to bring you comprehensive support and services as you navigate through your first year and beyond.


 Bridget Wesley, MA, LCSW

Bridget received her BA from Boston College and MA from the University of Chicago. She has worked for the Office of Student Transition and Outreach at Loyola since 2007. As a graduate of a Jesuit University, Bridget is enthusiastic about infusing all elements of First-Year Experience with a deep sense of Jesuit tradition and values.

 Scott Harris, MA
Associate Director

Scott started in the Student Transitions and Outreach in 2012 and has both his BA and MA from Loyola University Chicago. Scott works with Loyola's undergraduate student population to help promote their success in a holistic way. He also works with the New Student Orientation programs, Student Transition programs, the Loyola Seminar, and New Student Convocation. He is always excited to meet new students and work with them to make the most of their Loyola experience.

Omega Cruz, MBA, MEd
Assistant Director

Omega received her BS in Business Management from Eastern Illinois University, an MBA from DeVry University and an MEd in Counseling from DePaul University. She has worked with Student Transition and Outreach at Loyola since May 2014. Omega enjoys providing academic programs and support for all incoming students. Omega is committed to implementing programs that are holistic, transformative and engaging.

Martin Finnie
Program Coordinator

Martin earned his bachelors in Business Administration-Management from UNC-Charlotte. He is currently pursuing a Masters in the School of Education at LUC. Martin joined Student Transitions and Outreach in the early summer of 2014 but has been at Loyola since July of 2013. A resident of Rogers Park, he enjoys the community feel that the students and faculty/staff provide the area. Martin is enjoying his role of first year programing to welcome new students to Loyola and help them in their Transition.

Jamie Ellis
Program Coordinator

Jamie began with Student Transition and Outreach in 2015, but began working at Loyola in 2011 with the Department of Residence Life. She was born and raised in the beautiful state of Colorado and received both her BS and MS from Colorado State University. Jamie oversees the Orientation program for first-year and transfer students. Jamie has a passion for helping incoming students make a positive transition into Loyola and building community among new Ramblers!

Christine Santiago
Student Program Assistant

Christine studies psychology as a junior at Loyola. Born and raised in New York, NY, Christine made Loyola her second home through involvements in Phi Sigma Sigma, the Honors Program, and work as an Orientation Leader. She began working with Student Transitions and Outreach as an Orientation Leader in 2015, which deepened her passion for helping students transition to college. Christine is thrilled to meet new Ramblers and welcome them into the Loyola community!

Laura Herrmann
Student Program Assistant

Laura is a Junior at Loyola studying nursing. She began working with Student Transitions and Outreach in the summer of 2016 as an Orientation Leader and is now working in the office as a Student Program Assistant for Orientation. Laura is also involved in the Chi Omega Women's Fraternity on campus where she applies communicative and interpersonal skills to help raise money for various philanthropies. She loves to meet new Ramblers and help make the transition to college smooth and stress-free! 

Trevaughn Latimer
Program Assistant  
Trevaughn is a sophomore from St. Louis, MO and is studying Economics and Psychology with a minor in Theology. He is the Program Assistant of Admissions and Staff Training for College Coaches, and worked as a College Coach in the summer of 2016. Trevaughn also serves as a mentor in the Brothers For Excellence Mentorship Program through the Department of Student Diversity and Multicultural Affairs and is on the executive board of the Black Cultural Center, serving as the publicity chair. He looks forward to assembling a great team to help students make the most out of their summer at Loyola!
Ayomide Ogunsola
Program Assistant
Ayomide is a sophomore from Chicago, IL studying Health Systems Management. She is the Programs Assistant for Program Development for the Pre-College Summer Scholars Program. She also serves as a Student Alumni Ambassador and is the Alumni Chair on the African Student Alliance Executive Board. After working as College Coach during the summer of 2016, Ayomide is excited to aid in the preparation of another transformative summer!
