About Us

The university employs one full-time Assistant Director, one full-time Coordinator, and one Graduate Intern to oversee the sorority and fraternity community.

The professional staff manages recruitment and intake processes and facilitates a variety of leadership and educational programs for sorority and fraternity members. Sororities and fraternities were first recognized by Loyola University Chicago in the early 1920s, and over the years, have played an integral role in the campus community.

Sorority and Fraternity Life regularly partners with other university departments such as Athletics, the Wellness Center, Student Diversity and Multicultural Affairs, Campus Recreation Services, and the Career Center, creating and implementing programs designed to enhance the co-curricular experience for fraternity and sorority members at Loyola University Chicago.
