You'll need to apply to LUC Study Abroad prior to the deadlines listed below. After you are accepted by Loyola to study abroad, for certain programs you may need to complete an additional application for the host university.

Additional Deadline Details

The following application deadline information apples to all study abroad programs.  

All applications must be in Applied (APL) status in the Loyola study abroad application system by the applicable application deadline listed on this page. As noted above, different program types may have different application deadlines. Applications that are not in Applied status by the applicable published deadline will be cancelled and students will not be eligible for admission to the program in that application cycle.

Applied status means that the student has completed all necessary steps to complete their application to the study abroad program of their choice. Among other things, these steps include:

  • Providing biographical information
  • Entering Academic Advisor details
  • Listing emergency contact information
  • Responding to a selection of affidavits and conduct agreements
  • Paying any applicable fees to Loyola (see your program information page for details)
  • Submitting the application

Once these steps are completed, the student will automatically be moved to Applied status.

Confirmation Deposit ("Intent to Enroll")

When a student is Accepted/Approved for a specific program, they may be required to pay a deposit (“Intent to Enroll”) in order to confirm their intention to participate in the program. Programs that require such a deposit (“Intent to Enroll”) will provide details in the automated acceptance/approval email upon acceptance/approval. If applicable, this deposit (“Intent to Enroll”) must be paid/submitted within the timeframe listed in the acceptance/approval email.
