Course Description
Twelve 30-minute individual lessons in conducting. Topics include: baton techniques, gestural mechanics, ear training, score study, transpositions, orchestrational basics, phrasing, and chord recognition. Choral, orchestral, or wind band considerations will be explored in greater detail, according to the background of the student. Outcome: Advanced skills in conducting both small and large ensembles, score study, rehearsal, and concert programming.Prerequisite/s
