Solutions Workshop: Evolving Supply Chains for New Global Challenges

Our February 21 Solutions Workshop – Evolving Supply Chains for New Global Challenges played to a full house at Lawson Products.  Our panelists, Al Jankauskas, VP, Global Supply Chain Glanbia Performance Nutrition, Tom Kimball, VP, Global Consumer Sector, DHL Supply Chain, and Brian Krosschell, GM, Supply Chain, fairlife LLC did a terrific job addressing a range of topics including leveraging data and automation,  integrating e-commerce into your operation, and supplier Collaboration. 

After brief presentations,  the Q&A began and discussion continued about issues such as ethics and sustainability,  balancing automation and agility, and risk management.  Perhaps the hottest topic was forecasting and planning – looking at safety stock / inventory levels outside your own chain of custody and especially forecasting for e-commerce given the wild demand swings that can occur with pricing and promotion driven by algorithms.
