Navigating Careers: Insights, Opportunities, and Connections

Students, faculty, and community members gathered in the beautiful Wintrust Hall on the 9th floor of the Schreiber Center, enjoying food and drinks provided by MAKA Logistics as they settled in.

At 5:00 PM, Michael Azzaline, Manager of Key Accounts, delivered an engaging presentation on Ocean Network Express (ONE). He shared how Japan’s cherry blossoms inspired the company’s signature magenta color, symbolizing the merger that formed ONE.

Following Michael’s presentation, Amy Tran from HR discussed the onboarding process and key skills beneficial for working at ONE or similar companies. She introduced their paid summer internship program and highlighted open positions, including a hybrid role with three in-office days and two remote. Hiring is primarily in Lombard, with additional opportunities in Boise and Richmond across various experience levels.

A 30-minute Q&A session sparked insightful discussions, followed by networking over more food and drinks, giving students and community members a chance to connect further with the ONE team.
