Maureen Stroud, MBA and MS
North America Sustainability Manager – Whirlpool
Maureen Stroud is currently the North America Sustainability Manager at Whirlpool Corporation and is also an Adjunct Professor at Loyola's Institute of Environmental Sustainability. Her responsibility at Whirlpool includes management of Whirlpool's sustainability strategy for North America, the North America contributions to the Global Sustainability Report, including Scope 3 Emissions calculations for products, and Circular Economy and Recycling. Prior to her current roles, Stroud worked at NSF International, where her work involved the development of Guidance for Product Category Rules and sustainability standards for building products. She co-wrote the first sustainability plan for the Illinois Institute of Technology when she was working in their Office of Sustainability.
Stroud has guest lectured at the University of Michigan School of Public Health and has given numerous professional lectures and served on panels for several conferences on a variety of sustainability topics. She has managed large remediation projects, including DoD and large utility clients and developed educational content for trade associations early in her career as an Environmental Consultant at Tetra Tech.
