Spring 2019
What is it like to work for a marketing firm focused on sustainable branding? What do nature conservationists do all day? Join Dr. Schusler on Monday afternoons throughout the semester to learn from professionals on the ground in the fields of environmental business, conservation and restoration, sustainability, renewable energy, and more. This series will also feature resources within the Career Development Center that IES students can utilize to find environmental jobs and enhance their networking skills.
ENVS 200: This course introduces you to different types of environmental careers and what skills and personality traits are suited best for professions in policy, science, business, consulting, community organizing, and more. It is designed to help you begin developing a network in the profession and to catalyze your thinking about what area of the profession you might want to pursue so that you more intentionally can select appropriate internships, elective courses, and class projects that will enhance your knowledge, skills, and experience in your chosen field.
