LUREC Summer Sessions
LUREC and Summer Session 2020 courses move online
Due to COVID-19, all of IES's LUREC and Summer Session courses will take place online.
Registration: Because the Ecology and Retreat Campus offers immersion classes, please note that enrollment is restricted to one course during each session. All regular registration rules and restrictions apply, as well as all customary expectations in the Bursar's Office regarding the payment of tuition and fees. Fees for LUREC summer courses are listed below. Register for courses in LOCUS.
Class days and times: Our summer classes vary by date and duration but typically meet Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Classes include time in class, out in the field, attending events, and on field trips. Students who register for housing are expected to be on site the Sunday before classes start.
Housing: Students will live on campus while attending summer courses. Students will have access to a refurbished student lounge, computer labs, and lab spaces. In addition, Loyola will offer WiFi in public spaces. Residents will also enjoy gourmet meals at a reduced cost. Please reference the Housing Contract Summer 2020 for additional details and submission information.
Scholarships: The Institute of Environmental Sustainability is offering housing scholarships to the first 15 students who register for classes during Loyola's Summer Session at LUREC. Scholarships will be applied toward housing. Please send an email to IES@luc.edu to let us know as soon as you've registered for class. We will process them in the order they arrive.
Activities: Staff members develop an activity calendar for students. The schedule will include academic and social activities - from bonfires on campus to trips into the Woodstock downtown area.
Withdrawal: Please visit the Office of the Bursar webpage for withdrawal information.
