Member of the Lakota Sioux Tribe and Ecologist
Al Eastman is from the Rosebud Sioux Tribe (Sicangu Lakota). As an Adjunct Instructor at Oglala Lakota College, he was instrumental in creating the first environmental analytical lab on a reservation. Since moving to Chicago seven years ago, he has worked with the American Indian Center's (AIC) Education Department as a researcher and educator and currently manages the Archery program at AIC. He is also the Cultural Resource Specialist for the Title 7 Native American Education program.
