Alessandra Moro achieved her doctorate (June 2013) in “History and written Culture in the Late Antiquity and Middle Age” at the Department of Ancient and Late Antiquity Studies, University of Bari (Italy). Her research has been focused on questions regarding sanctuaries, pilgrimage flows, and museums linked to places of worship in Late Antiquity and Middle Ages.
She is a research fellow in the Department of Ancient and Late Antiquities Studies (Bari). She investigates sanctuaries from a cultural perspective, promoting concrete actions of restoration and re-launch of some Christian sanctuaries in Apulia, with the aim of improving their remarkable communicative, expositive, and didactic potential.
