Professor Rotondo is Assistant Professor in History of Christianity at University of Catania (Department of Humanities) and member of the FIRB Project – Future in Research 2012 “The Construction of Space and Time in the Transmission of Collective Identities. Religious Polarizations and/or Cohabitations in Ancient World (1st-6th cent. CE).” She has published books and articles on Women in New Testament and Early Christianity, as well as contributions on Ancient Religions according to gender perspectives. She has also published articles on Late Antique Paraphrastic Genre as well as studies on Nonnus from Panopolis’ Periphrasis on the Fourth Gospel.
