Outlook Plug-In

Loyola's Secure Transfer system offers a convenient way to integrate the file transfer process into your daily life. Download the plug-in for Microsoft Outlook to send files at the click of a button.

How to Install

‌Click here to download the installation file.

After the .exe has been downloaded, open the file to start the installation wizard. Follow through until the wizard is finished.

How to Use

Now that you have installed the Plug-In, start up Outlook. When composing a new email, you should see the icon in the outlook ribbon pictured below.

Note: If you don't see the Secure Transfer icon, please restart your Outlook.

Using Secure Attach for the first time, you will be unable to see all 7 options. Instead, your drop menu will look as follows:

Selecting the "Options" icon will pull up the following window. This is where you will connect to our Secure Transfer server.

You will need to fill in the server field by entering "securetransfer.luc.edu" into the dialogue box. You will also need to enter your UVID and the password associated with it.

After assigning the server settings, the following options will become available to you under the Secure Transfer drop-menu.

 

 

 

Secure Attach: Select a file from your computer to be sent using Secure Transfer directly from your Outlook account.

Attach Folder: Select an entire folder from your computer to be sent using Secure Transfer directly from your Outlook account.

Secure Attach All: Adjust the settings to treat all your attachments as Secure Transfer files. This will automatically send everything through Secure Transfer. We do not recommend this setting.

File Request: Send a message to a user requesting access to specific file.

Private Message: Send a message using the Secure Transfer encryption.

Select existing files: Send a file you have already uploaded onto the Secure Transfer server
