What I like most about Loyola: Where to begin! There are many things I love about Loyola, all of which center on providing the best educational experience for our students. Loyola’s commitment to our students is our top priority. As a Jesuit institution, Loyola embraces the mission to be men and women for others and to be leaders in our society. A Loyola education not only gives students the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their field of study, but it also challenges students to think critically and to promote social justice. Our faculty foster a supportive environment, encouraging students to discover their passions. Through engaging classes, research, and mentorships, our professors provide guidance and expertise to students that continue beyond graduation.

Plus, being in the city of Chicago, students get the best of both worlds: a residential college campus nestled on beautiful Lake Michigan and an exciting urban experience in the nation’s third-largest city. The urban experience allows students to explore the rich diversity of Chicago’s neighborhoods, museums, coffee shops, restaurants and so much more! It also opens doors for real-world experiences with Fortune 500 companies and health care organizations as well as local businesses. Students find a balance between having the city as their backyard and getting involved in campus activities. With over 250 student organizations, students can expand their current interests or get involved in something new, creating memories and lasting friendships. Traditions like Hustle Up Hoyne, President’s Ball, Weekend of Excellence, Arch Madness Basketball, Finals Breakfast, Water Tower Campus Block Party, and Senior Graduation Toast are just a few things that new Ramblers can look forward to!

The Loyola Experience is unique for each of our Ramblers… just like each student is unique. Every Rambler carves out their own memorable college experience. An experience that will allow them to grow professionally and personally, thriving in a community that encourages the pursuit of their passions. It is inspiring to hear our student success stories, knowing Loyola’s Jesuit education and community helped our Ramblers become extraordinary individuals who are making a difference in our world.

Unlike other schools I visited, Loyola has a community feel that makes you feel like you belong.
