Frequently Asked Questions Regarding U-Pass for Spring 2020 and Summer 2020.

Will my U-Pass remain active?

Yes, U-Passes will remain active for the remainder of the Spring semester in all areas. Deactivation dates can be found here: https://www.luc.edu/upass/activation/dates/

U-Passes will NOT reactivate for Summer 2020, except for Arrupe College students.

Can my U-Pass fee be refunded or partially refunded?

Unfortunately, no. As long as the U-Passes are active, per our contract with the CTA we must charge all eligible students the full fee. We are not able to refund fees or issue partial refunds at this point in the semester. Here is the CTA's response to inquiries about refunds:

"U-Pass cards in current semesters, terms or quarters will remain active and can be used until the U-Pass deactivation date that is listed in the Ventra U-Pass Portal. CTA will not be issuing any refunds for currently active U-Pass cards."

However, students will not be charged for the Summer 2020 U-Pass at all, except for Arrupe students.
