Veterans with a service connected disability and an employment handicap may be eligible to use educational benefits under the Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment program, Chapter 31.

Eligibility requirements include a discharge other than dishonorable, a service-connected disability rating of at least 10% or a memorandum rating of 20% or more from the VA.  Applicants must also be evaluated by a VA Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. 

Additional services provided by Voc-Rehab include job-seeking skills, resume building, on the job training and apprenticeships, financial assistance for college, and independent living services for veterans who are too disabled to work.
