Culture, Politics, and Development of Southeast Asia
This academic specialization is offered in the Fall and Spring semesters at the Vietnam Center. You will gain an understanding of Vietnam and the region through courses in Southeast Asian history, political science, sociology, the arts, environmental studies, comparative religions, and the Vietnamese language. You will learn the growing importance of the region to the future of our world and discover the exciting personal opportunities that Southeast Asia provides you along the way.
As part of the Culture, Politics, and Development Specialization, you will do a service learning placement at one of our partner organizations in Ho Chi Minh City. This experience will give you the chance to engage with the Vietnamese culture in depth while also making a positive impact on the community.
