August 29 • 2–6 p.m. | Ready, Set, Mango! A meet and greet with Health Systems Management Student Organization Red Mango, 6460 N. Sheridan Road Play games, win prizes, and talk with current Health Systems Management students and professors. Learn about the major, how it can grow your education, and where it can take you. All along with some fabulous frozen yogurt. |
August 29 • 2–3 p.m. | Alumni Association Ice Cream Social CFSU Patio Swing by the Alumni Association tent for info on how you can plug into a network of more than 140,000 alumni worldwide while cooling off with some free Cold Stone Creamery. |
August 30 • 6 p.m. | Oh, What a Bloody Good Friday! Mystery Play East Lawn; if rain, Mullady Theatre Enjoy a contemporary version of a fourteenth century mystery play in which the death and resurrection of Christ takes place in a modern Irish city. The importance of this event is often undercut by the raw cynicism of the locals, but equally, to their surprise, it begins to build a momentum and importance that goes beyond a local brawl. The play aims to present the earthiness of the human experience, and the presence of what lies beyond our understanding, the spiritual, at a time when an erudite theology has not yet been formulated. |
August 31 • 1–4 p.m. | Student Organization Fair Halas Sports Center Learn about Loyola’s student organizations and how you can get involved on campus. With more than 200 registered student organizations on campus, there is something for everyone. September 1 • 3–6 p.m. | Jesuit Fest Simpson Parking Lot Celebrate Loyola’s Jesuit heritage and meet priests and brothers of the Society of Jesus. Food, fun, and games will be provided. Tours of Ignatius House will be offered. |
September 3 • 6–9 p.m. | The New Year’s Festival South Halas Field and Campus Road, LSC (Rain Location: 2nd Floor of Halas) Join us for a festival with food, fireworks, activities and live performances. There will be music, carnival games, prizes, and entertainment. Fireworks will begin at 9 p.m. Afterward, enjoy an outdoor film on the East Quad following the fireworks. Free for students. |
September 7 • 1–4 p.m. | Community Service and Job Opportunities Fair Halas Sports Center Enjoy a career fair hosted jointly by the Career Development Center, the Center for Experiential Learning, and University Ministry and Loyola departments, and private organizations will be present for part time, internship, federal work study and volunteer opportunities.
