U-Pass Pickup

10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. l Centennial Forum, Rambler Room

The U-Pass is an all-inclusive transit card that allows full-time students to ride the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) buses and trains for an unlimited amount of time throughout the academic year. Using CTA is a great way to navigate Chicago, as well as a great way to get to and from the Lakeshore and Water Tower Campuses.  First year students can pick up their U-Passes during the first weekend before classes start as well as the first week of classes. SDMA “One Love” Open House

1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. l Student Diversity & Multicultural Affairs Office, Damen Student Center

The Department of Student Diversity & Multicultural Affairs invites you to our annual One Love open house.  Feast on sweet treats from “Lickity Splits” and learn about our awesome programs! ALL students, faculty and staff are welcome!

Loyola Men’s and Women’s Soccer Doubleheader

5:00 p.m. l Loyola Soccer Park (6336 N Hoyne Ave)  

Come cheer on Loyola Men’s and Women’s Soccer for their first home matches of the season! The Men’s game begins at 5:00pm, with the women’s game following shortly after, and admission is free for undergrad students! Catch a shuttle to and from the game at the Fr. Damen statue! Free for undergrad students, $7 for adults and $5 for youth/faculty and staff. More details about shuttle service will be made available in August.

Global Engagement Meet and Greet

5:30 PM – 7:00 PM l International Programs, IC 4th Floor  

Join the Office of International Programs in welcoming new international students to the Rambler community and learn about ways in which you can become globally engaged in Chicago!  Snacks and games will be provided!

New Year’s Festival

7:00 p.m. l East Quad (rain location: Damen Student Center)

There will be music! There will be food! There will be carnival games, prizes, and photo entertainment! Come kick off the new academic year as we bring a close to Welcome Week 2019. Afterward, enjoy an outdoor film on the Quad! Sponsored by Student Activities & Greek Affairs.

Hypnotist, Jim Wand

8:00 p.m. l Mundelein Auditorium 

Meet Dr. Jim Wand, master of the subconscious! He can really get into a person’s head (making grown men do a mean Miley Cyrus impersonation, for example). Dr. Wand holds a doctorate in psychology and regularly tours the country presenting his brand of comedy by hypnotizing willing subjects. Dr. Wand has performed with Jay Leno, Chris Rock, and several other celebrities. Bring a friend for this fun night of the unexpected!  Sponsored by Student Activities & Greek Affairs.
