Career Services: College to Career

2:30 p.m. l Information Commons, 4th Floor

LUC Career Services can help you find and research career paths, understand how careers relate to majors and coursework, and the steps you should take along the way.  You don’t have to know what you want in a career before meeting with a Career Development Advisor – they can help you discover that!  Career Services also hosts Job Shadows, industry Guest Advisors, and Career Fairs.  The Internship and Service Fair will be on September 5, 2018 in the Damen Student Center.

Career Services: Navigating Student Employment and Federal Work Study

3:30 p.m. l Information Commons, 4th Floor

You received a work-study award… now what?  You don’t qualify for work-study but need employment? Join us for an interactive information session all about work-study and student employment at Loyola. Learn the ins and outs, including: How do I find campus or work-study jobs? This is great information to have before the job fair so you can plan your job search!

Career Services: Pre-Health Professions Q&A

4:30 p.m. l Information Commons, 4th Floor

Interested in a career in health care? Discover some things you need to know and some things you need to think about.

Welcome Mass

5:00 p.m. l Madonna Della Strada

Students and their families are invited to join the Loyola community in this annual welcoming tradition.

Family Picnic

6:00 p.m. l East Quad (rain location: Damen Student Center)

Please join us as you say farewell to your parents and families and let us welcome you to the Loyola community. All new students and their families are invited to an outdoor picnic sponsored by the Division of Student Development.

Sex Signals

7:30 p.m. l Mullady Theater, Centennial Forum

Blending a unique combination of improvisational comedy, education, and audience participation, Sex Signals provides a provocative look at the issues of dating, sex, and consent on college campuses. The show uses humor throughout to laugh about the differences between men and women and engage audiences in candid discussions about how we treat one another. Sponsored by Student Activities & Greek Affairs.
