Latifat Cabirou joined the Wellness Center in the Fall of 2016 as the Suicide Prevention Coordinator. She is also a third-year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program. Latifat received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois-Champaign-Urbana and a M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor. Latifat has clinical and research interests in mental health prevention and intervention programs for immigrants and racial/ethnic minorities. In her free time, Latifat enjoys reading fiction novels and binge-watching Netflix.
