Mary Duckett joined the Wellness Center in August 2015 as a Health Educator. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Studies from Johns Hopkins University, and her Masters in Health Communication from Emerson College/Tufts University School of Medicine. Prior to joining the Wellness Center, Mary completed a two year substance abuse prevention fellowship through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA), and became a Certified Prevention Specialist in August 2015. The fellowship focused on the prevention of underage drinking in high risk communities in Illinois. Outside of work, Mary enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring Chicago, and discovering new tv shows on Netflix.
