Rushini Jayawardena, is a second year graduate student in Loyola University’s social work program. She will be working with members of the wellness team as well as students to expand her clinical repertoire. Rushini received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Lehman College in Bronx, NY and has interned at Brother’s Health Collective where she assisted HIV positive homeless or at-risk of being homeless individuals obtain and maintain housing. Over the summer she worked with unaccompanied minors in Heartland Alliance as a Case Manager. Rushini’s clinical interest include working with adolescents and young adults, relationship and family issues, self-esteem and self-worth, identity in today’s society as well as mindfulness. Outside of this internship and school, Rushini enjoys yoga, painting and spending time with her family.
