    Marcella is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and joined the Wellness Center at the Health Sciences Campus in 2023. She received her master's in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and holds certifications in mindfulness and trauma-informed therapeutic specializations. 

    Marcella works with individuals presenting with a range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, academic stress, personal growth, relationship/attachment, adjustment/life transitions, and others. She celebrates the spectrum of human diversity ranging from cultural and spiritual background to ability, gender identity and sexual orientation.

    Marcella’s primary philosophy of care is rooted in a person-centered approach, which honors the individual as the expert of their life story. She enjoys working with folks to discover authentic and creative solutions that resonate with their identity, goals, and intention for beneficial change and healing. 

    In her free time, Marcella enjoys hosting game nights, curating adventurous and delicious meals, practicing yoga, and running as a form of meditation.
