Feminist Lecture Series Call for Proposals
The Women’s Studies & Gender Studies program is now accepting presentation proposals for the 2023 Feminist Lecture Series!
Individuals or groups interested in presenting their research, academic interests, or professional work(s) in the 2023 calendar year are encouraged to submit their proposals by December 9th, 2022 and can do so by clicking here. This is an excellent opportunity for faculty, students, and community members alike to share their latest research, bolster their resume, and gain invaluable public speaking experience outside of the classroom setting.
Past lecture topics include:
-
Medical gaslighting;
-
Anti-rape organizing amongst Black women;
-
Non-consensual genital cutting;
-
Benevolent sexism;
-
And more!
The Feminist Lecture Series is open to a wide variety of topics and disciplines. We especially encourage proposals pertaining to the Dobbs Decision, reproductive justice, and interdisciplinary work.
Applications require a presentation title, abstract, and personal bio. To apply, click below.
Should you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Sarah Jeffries (sjeffries@luc.edu) or Jade Riedel (jriedel@luc.edu), Women’s Studies & Gender Studies graduate assistants.
We look forward to reading your proposals!
