WSGS Grad Students Limeteze Pierre-Gilles and Suzanne Cuellar were awarded Graduate School Interdisciplinary Research Symposium Awards at the 12th annual award ceremony in the following categories:
Best Mixed Method/Other Paper Presentation Award
Limeteze Pierre-Gilles for "Spirituality and Religion: An Exploration of the Lack of Research & Literature and the Gap in Services Provided to Child Trafficking Victims in the United States Recommendations for Social Service Practitioners".
Best Theoretical Paper Presentation Award
Suzanne Cuellar for "Queer Footnotes: The Tiny Radical Steps at the Bottom of a Page". Since graduating, Suzanne has begun work at Chicago House. They work as a supportive housing case manager with HIV+ clients who have experienced homelessness for a year or more. Suzanne's first priority with a matched client is to find an apartment in their client's desired Chicago neighborhood.
