Courtney E. Mayster (JD ’01
)
has been promoted to cochair of
the Real Estate group at Chicago-
based law firm Much Shelist.
She focuses her practice on the
representation of lenders in a variety
of financing transactions.
Peter Tsantilis (BBA ’00, JD ’03)
was
named one of the 2013 “40 Under
40 Attorneys to Watch” by the Law
Bulletin Publishing Company. He is an
attorney at Liston & Tsantilis PC.
Cynthia M. Baasten (JD ’04)
has
been elected partner at Sraga Hauser
LLC in the firm’s Oak Brook, Illinois,
office. She concentrates her practice
in the areas of special education
and other student issues, labor and
personnel, and civil rights litigation.
Olivia Tyrrell (JD ’04)
was recognized
by the
National Law Journal
as
one of Chicago’s “Rising Stars”under
the age of 40. She is a partner at Baker
& McKenzie.
Robert E. Draba (JD ’05),
a trial
attorney in the antitrust division of
the US Department of Justice, was
among those honored with the US
attorney general’s 2012 Award of
Distinction for investigative work on
the AT&T/T-Mobile case.
Douglass A. Farnsworth (JD ’06)
has been elected a shareholder
of the firm Trenam Kemker in
Tampa, Florida. He concentrates
his practice in the area of employee
benefits, including health care
and compensation.
Norah L. Jones (JD ’06)
was

Bono and Public Interest Service
by the US District Court for
the Northern District of Illinois

Federal Bar Association.
Lauren K. Pfeil (JD ’10)
was honored
at the ABA conference in San
Francisco with the 2013 ABA Young
Lawyer’s Division Child Advocacy
Award in recognition of her work as
a guardian ad litem in Traverse City,
Michigan. Pfeil is an associate at the
Law Offices of Paul T. Jarboe PLC.

Susan E. Bowman (MJ ’11)
received
her degree in Health Law. An
updated excerpt of her thesis has
been published in a peer-reviewed
research journal,
Perspectives in
Health Information Management.
Elissa F. Johnson (JD ’11, MSW ’11)
has been selected a fellow for the
National Juvenile Justice Network’s
Youth Justice Leadership Institute.
She is a former ChildLaw Fellow.
Corbin J. Morris (JD ’11)
joined
Quarles & Brady’s Chicago office
as an associate in the tax-exempt
organizations and corporate services
practice groups. In 2012, Morris
received an LLM in Taxation from
New York University.
