Following is a listing of courses offered at select Illinois community colleges which will be accepted for transfer credit in Loyola’s Core Curriculum. We encourage you to use this guide as you select your courses. Please click on any of the following for a listing of transferable courses.
Loyola University Chicago's Core Curriculum includes 16 required courses spread across 10 knowledge areas. The Core is designed to reinforce learning of effective skills, including communication, critical thinking, ethical awareness, information literacy, quantitative and qualitative analysis and research methods, and technological literacy and also to promote students' understanding of the values of Justice, Faith and Spirituality, and Diversity which are central to Loyola's Jesuit education.
These guides do not show all transferable courses. They also do not show Loyola courses that will fulfill specific requirements. These guides are intended to be used as planning tools. ABSN Program: Students with a bachelor's degree may wish to consider the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program. Coursework from the community colleges may be used as prerequisites for this program. Find out more about the ABSN program.
