Transfer Scholarships

Be rewarded for all of your hard work

Transfer merit-based scholarships are awarded to academically-qualified undergraduate transfer applicants. Qualified students must be enrolling in a full-time degree seeking program and must be pursuing their first bachelor’s degree. You are automatically considered for Loyola-based merit scholarships as soon as you submit your admission application.

To be considered for a transfer scholarship, a student must have a minimum of 12 college-level credits completed when they submit a transfer application, and they must have all the application materials submitted by the priority application deadline. In-progress coursework and AP credit does not count towards the minimum credit required for transfer scholarship consideration. Transfer scholarships are renewable for up to three years provided the student maintains the required GPA and full-time status.

The scholarships for new incoming transfer students entering for the fall 2022 and spring 2023 semesters are as follows:

  • The Transfer Presidential Award - $28,000 per year
  • The Transfer Trustee Award - $26,000 per year
  • The Transfer Academic Award - $24,000 per year
  • The Transfer Dean's Award - $22,000 per year
  • The Transfer Rambler Award - $12,000 per year
  • The Transfer Regent's Award - $10,000 per year
  • The Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Award - $1,500 per year

To be eligible for the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Award, a student must be transferring from a two-year college having earned at least 45 credit hours with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. They must also show proof of membership in the PTK Honors Society by uploading a copy of their membership certificate to their transfer admission application. This scholarship is not available for freshmen entering with an associate degree.

Outside Scholarships

Loyola maintains a list of outside scholarship resources, but students should also take the initiative to search for outside scholarships on their own.
