When mailing the certificates, use two envelopes. In the first envelope, place the unendorsed certificates along with a brief letter of instruction that includes your name, name of the stock(s) and the number of shares to be donated and how you would like your gift to be used. In the second envelope, place the completed stock power(s). Send them to us on the same day via first-class mail.

Please contact us to let us know that your gift is in progress.

Your gift date is the postmark date of the later envelope. Your gift amount is the average of the high and low price of your stock gift on that date.

Annual Giving

At the School of Law, we rely on the generosity of our alumni and friends to provide a high-quality legal education to our students.  Alumni participation in annual giving is now more important than ever: your gift is a vote of confidence in our school, demonstrating that alumni are invested in the future of Loyola Law and that you support our leadership and direction.

Many of our donors choose to give to the Dean’s Discretionary Fund, an unrestricted fund which Dean Michael Kaufman uses to meet the daily needs of the school.  Where does this money go?  We use these donations every fiscal year to fund student and faculty research, merit scholarships, fellowships, student activities, legal clinics, and loan repayment programs for alumni serving in public interest fields. Unrestricted gifts also allow the Dean to seize new and innovative opportunities and remain nimble in the ever-evolving legal education space.

Help us ensure the future of the School of Law by making your annual gift today.  Any gift, regardless of size, is a vote that you believe in Loyola's School of Law.

Damen Society - Chair's Welcome

Greetings from the School of Law. My name is Kevin Lichtenberg and in addition to being a JD graduate of the class of 2010, I am a member of the School of Law Alumni Board of Governors, serving as your Annual Giving and Damen Society Chair.

I invite you to consider a gift to Loyola University Chicago School of Law by joining the Damen Society, our leadership giving society, which recognizes donors who make annual gifts of $1,000 or more, in addition to GOLD alumni – Graduates of the Last Decade – who make annual gifts of $250 or more in support of the School of Law.

Together we are furthering social justice, enhancing our school’s outstanding academic reputation, and providing critical assistance to students in need. It is my honor to be your representative for philanthropy on our Board of Governors and I look forward to another strong year together, true to our mission. Thank you for your generosity, dedication, and continued support.

Sincerely,

Kevin C. Lichtenberg (JD ’10, MA ’11)

Chair, Annual Giving and Damen Society

How can I join?

You can join the Damen Society with a one-time gift of $1,000 or more, or a recurring monthly gift of $84. GOLD alumni – Graduates of the Last Decade – can join with a one-time gift of $250 or more, or a recurring monthly gift of $21. If your employer matches charitable contributions, their matching gift will count toward your Damen Society membership as well.

For more information, email lawalumni@LUC.edu.

Where do these gifts go?
Many Damen Society members choose to give to the Dean’s Discretionary Fund, an unrestricted fund that goes to the area of highest need, while others give to scholarship support. You can also direct your gift to any area within the School of Law that means most to you. If you’d like to speak to someone about directing your gift somewhere specific, please email us at lawalumni@LUC.edu.
