Preparing students
for practice
Recognizing that today’s employers want law graduates with
hands-on skills, Loyola prepares students for a seamless transition
to practice through a mix of solid classroom study, online learning
options, and significant practical and clinical experience. Following
are some of this year’s unique experiential learning opportunities.
Alumni expertise
Illinois Attorney General Lisa
Madigan (JD ’94)
was a special guest
lecturer in Loyola’s Study Law Abroad
Program in Rome this summer.
Leaders and mentors
Loyola’s Leadership Circle
is composed
of Loyola law faculty members, recent
graduates, and practitioners in the
community who volunteer to mentor law
students enrolled in Loyola’s Externship
Field Placement Program in Chicago and
Washington, DC.
Global learning
Loyola’s summer programs continue
to be popular options for students to
gain international experience studying
comparative law in Beijing and Rome.
Each year, more than 300 students participate
in a
live clinic, practicum, or externship.
