Rambler Success Program

Program Description

The Rambler Success Program is a yearlong program filled with enriching learning experiences that will benefit the successful Rambler through graduation and beyond. With successful completion of your RSP portfolio, your conditional standing will become full admission at LUC. 

Summer Transition (Aug 22 - 26)

  • Meet youRambler Success support team which includes advisors, mentors, faculty, academic coaches, and more
  • Begin to hone your best learning strategies
  • Develop increased academic skills
  • Participate in learning strategies workshops
  • Launch youRambler Success Program learning agreement and portfolio
  • Get to know your way around the LUC campus
  • Make friends and have fun!

First Semester (Fall Freshman Year)

  • UNIV course(s) to continue a smoother transition to college
  • Courses that utilize Supplemental Instruction
  • College writing and a cohort class from a list of specially designed major and Loyola Core courses
  • In-depth regular academic advising
  • Individualized development of skills, self-awareness and strategies
  • Peer mentoring
  • Loyola 360 Retreat
  • Career Self-Assessment Workshop

Second Semester (Spring Freshman Year)

  • Cohort class from a list of specially designed major and Loyola Core courses
  • Update youRambler Success Program portfolio
  • Utilize Supplemental Instruction for major and/or Core course(s)
  • In-depth academic advising
  • Individualized development of skills, self-awareness and strategies
  • Learning activities, workshops, etc.
  • Peer mentoring and academic coaching
  • Presentation of yousuccessfully completed Rambler Success Program portfolio

Beyond The First Year

  • Continued academic advising support from the RSP Advisors
  • Quarterly RSP electronic newsletter to keep students informed of events, scholarships, and other opportunities
  • Continued participation in the RSP mentoring program
  • Workshops and programs
  • Opportunities for student leader positions within the Program
