Is there any work I have to do before the program starts?
There are pre-reading assignments/activities for most programs. We include this information with the confirmation notice one week before your class.

Do I need to bring a laptop or a calculator?
A laptop is optional. A calculator is required for some programs. This information will be sent to you with your confirmation materials.

I want to arrange some activities while I'm in town. Are there any nights that have group work or long assignments?
Group work is scheduled during the day.

I will need to keep up with work from the office. How much homework is there?
For most programs, homework involves pre-class reading to prepare for the next day; you should anticipate 1 hour of reading per session.

What is the usual class size?
Most classes run with 20 to 25 participants.

REGISTRATION & PAYMENT POLICIES

When is the deadline for registrations?
Classes fill quickly so we recommend you register early, a minimum of two weeks before the program starts.

I need to postpone my attendance. What are my options?
Substitutions of registrants in a program may be made, without penalty, any time prior to the program's commencement.

Transfer requests made at least two weeks prior to the program start will be subject to a $50 transfer fee to cover administrative costs. Transfer requests made 7-14 days before the program are subject to a $250 charge. Transferees will have one year from the date of their transfer request to attend a subsequent offering. After a one year period, registration fees will be forfeited. Transferees will be required to pay fee increases, should any take place.

No transfers may be made within 7 days of the start of the program.

How do I cancel my attendance?
If you wish to cancel, send written notification to our office providing the name of the participant and the course and date from which the participant is canceling. Cancellations made at least two weeks prior to the program will receive a full refund minus a $50 processing fee. Cancellations made less than two weeks before the program are subject to the full program fee.

A missed certificate session may be made up through attendance in a similar program session as determined by Executive Education. The make-up must be completed within one year and there is a $50 transfer fee per session to cover administrative costs.

We have several people interested in attending a course. Is it possible to have the course held at our company?

AIRPORTs & TRAVEL

How far away are O'Hare and Midway Airports?
O'Hare Airport is approximately 18 miles and Midway Airport is approximately 12 miles from the Water Tower Campus. Allow at least one to one and a half hours to get to either airport.

How do I get to the Water Tower Campus (25 East Pearson building) once I'm in Chicago?

I am taking the Metra/CTA to get downtown. How far away is the train station?
The CTA Red Line subway stops next to Loyola at Chicago and State (the Chicago Station). The CTA Blue line goes to O'Hare Airport; take the CTA Red Line south to Lake Station and transfer to the Blue Line. The CTA Orange line goes to Midway Airport: take the CTA Red Line south to Lake and switch from the subway to the elevated platform. Reverse directions to come to the campus.

The closest Metra stations are Union Station or Ogilvie Transportation Center. From the Metra stations, you can board the #151 bus and get off at Michigan and Pearson St., two blocks away from 25 East Pearson. If you choose to walk from Union Station, it's about a 25-30 minute walk.
