Catholic Educator M.Ed. Cohort

The Loyola University Catholic Educator (CE) cohort offers Catholic school educators a unique opportunity to earn the M.Ed. in Instructional Leadership with a Curriculum focus along with K-12 administrative certification (Type 75) in a program designed to prepare teachers for leadership in Catholic schools. A benefit of the program is students have an option of taking one summer course in Rome.

CATHOLIC EDUCATOR SPRING 2010 COHORT*

Students who in enroll in the CE cohort program, which begins in Spring of 2010, will receive the multiple benefits of participating in a cohort program at Loyola.  All of the courses in the program will be taught by highly qualified professors.  Students in this cohort program will attend classes together and will therefore benefit from discussing their unique educational and professional experiences in Catholic schools. It is our experience from past cohorts that cohort members form lasting professional bonds that can be utilized throughout their careers.  Ideal applicants include those who are interested in assuming leadership positions in Catholic schools.

*A cohort is a group of students who attend together all of the required courses leading to a degree. Students benefit from networking and bonding with one another during the course of their program. Once a cohort is formed, the students remain together for the duration of their degree program. New students are not admitted to a cohort after it begins, but they may join newly forming cohorts.  The Catholic Educator cohort typically starts every other year.
