This conference, held annually in November at Loyola University Chicago, Water Tower Campus, is co-sponsored by CCSE and NCEA for principals, assistant principals, department chairs, curriculum leaders, assistant superintendents, and teacher leaders.  Through workshop and networking sessions, nationally recognized educators connect theory and research-based practices to Catholic school instructional leadership needs and experiences.  Participants gain knowledge, resources, and tools, and have the opportunity to network with other Catholic educational leaders.

 CONFERENCE OUTCOMES
Weaving together theory, best practices, research, and experience, participants will be able to:
 

• Apply understanding of the discernment process to leading change in their schools;

• Describe and reflect on systems, structures and routines that successful leaders put into place to develop and sustain a climate and culture that promotes ownership and strong academic achievement;

  Examine two case studies of Catholic schools that accomplished a school-saving turn-around (one elementary school, one high school) to identify successful change strategies to use and unsucsessful strategies to avoid in their schools.

  Map a draft implementation plan to support integrated, systemic, sustainable change in their schools.
