Loyola students receive hands on experience conducting fieldwork.A vital component to Loyola University Chicago and to CUERP’s mission is the guidance of students through their education and ensuring that the experience is rewarding. Research and hands-on fieldwork fulfills that role. CUERP works to keep students informed of internship opportunities related to urban environmental initiatives. Internships assist students to better define their long-term career goals while experiencing the satisfaction of learning beyond the classroom.

The Center for Experiential Learning (CEL) serves students, faculty, staff, and community partners as a resource for community-based experiential learning opportunities and partnerships. CEL offers information, resources, and support for the development of academic internship opportunities, service-learning courses, community service Federal Work-Study employment, and undergraduate research experiences.
