Introduction
Digital Media Services (DMS) is a fast-paced environment with many opportunities to learn different technologies, as well as interact with a number of different clients on a daily basis. DMS does not require Federal Work Study (FWS) as a requirement for employment; however, if offered a position and the candidate is eligible, FWS will be applied.

Job Descriptions
Digital Media Advisors
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be motivated with good written and verbal communication skills. The individual must be a strong team player and enjoy working with digital media. The following are required qualifications for this student position:
- Assist campus Digital Media Lab (DML) and Multimedia Lab (MML) users with projects, software/hardware support/questions;
- Serve as a resource for departments, organizations and other clients in person or via phone support;
- Provide customer service and support regarding administrative tasks and other duties;
- Troubleshoot and find resolutions to multimedia software and equipment issues;
- Process poster printing requests for Lake Shore and Water Tower Campuses;
- Circulate multimedia equipment from the Equipment Loan Program;
- Assist with Digital Media Services projects and documentation initiatives;
- Assist with monitoring and cleaning of computer labs;
- Opening and closing computer lab locations as scheduled; and
- Other duties as assigned by the Digital Media Services team.
Digital Media Consultants
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be motivated with good written and verbal communication skills. The individual must be a strong team player and enjoy working with digital media. The following are required qualifications, in addition to the expectations for the Digital Media Advisors, for this student position:
- Provide client and staff training to incoming and current Digital Media Advisors, in coordination with the Digital Media Services team;
- Provide direct Digital Media Lab support with projects, software/hardware support and questions;
- Troubleshoot and find resolutions to software and equipment issues in all Lab locations;
- Monitor poster printing process and requests for both Lake Shore and Water Tower Campuses;
- Circulate multimedia equipment from the Equipment Loan Program;
- Facilitate contract review and digitization process;
- Coordinate with the DMS staff to provide end-user support;
- Assist with DMS projects and documentation initiatives;
- Assist with monitoring and cleaning of computer labs;
- Opening and closing computer lab locations as scheduled; and
- Other duties as assigned by the Digital Media Services team.
